Brown Ballroom Dance Team
Welcome to Ballroom Dance!
Brown Ballroom is a group of Ballroom Dance enthusiasts comprised of Brown affiliates, RISD affiliates, and members from the nearby community (anyone is welcome)! We have many hours of weekly lessons where our members can learn and focus on the competitive and/or social aspects of Ballroom Dance! Although we are a single organization, we refer to the Brown Ballroom Dance Team as the part that focuses on competitive Ballroom Dancing, and the Brown Ballroom Dance Club as the part that focuses on social Ballroom Dancing.
Mission Statement
As members of Brown Ballroom Dance, we will work to spread the joy of ballroom dancing to the students of Brown University and the community of Rhode Island. Although we are members of a competitive team, we will never forget that ballroom dancing is a social activity, and through our sponsorship of the Brown Ballroom Dance Club, we promote dance as an opportunity for fun as well as maintain strong relationships with the local community, encouraging dance participation and sharing our talents through performance and volunteerism. We hope that all who join the team will experience the pleasures of dancing socially as well as competitively and will become dedicated members of the Brown Ballroom Dance community.
