​Order of Proceedings​

 

After reviewing the registrations for our upcoming competition, we have decided to push the start time of our competition back one hour, to 9:00 am.  We hope this will benefit competitors who must travel a long distance.

Please find below the final, O2CM-calculated timetable for Saturday’s competition, including fun dances and lunch break.  Note: fun dances will be danced before awards or costume changes, and minimum 15 minutes will be allocated for costume changes.

Doors open:                7:00 am

Rhythm:                        9:00 am

Fun dance:                  10:00 am

Smooth:                        10:30 am

Fun dance:                  11:30 am

Lunch:                           11:45 am

Standard:                     12:30 pm

Fun dance:                  1:45 pm

Latin:                             2:15 pm

End:                                4:00 pm

Please be ready to dance at least 30 minutes before your expected time.  The above times are estimates, and if necessary, some adjustments to this timetable may be made during the competition.

Dances that are separated by a slash (/) are judged together, and dances shown on separate lines are judged separately.  

 

Examples:

• Silver Rhythm: there will be 3 awards: one for cha cha and rumba together, a second award for Swing, and a third award for Mambo.  

• Open Rhythm: there will be one award for all four dances - Cha/Rumba/Swing/Mambo/Bolero

• Open Standard: there will be two awards: one award for Waltz, Quickstep, Tango, and Foxtrot together, and a second award for VW

 

Note: Syllabus dances are open to any level.
